Symptoms

There are many symptoms for Balanitis. 

Redness of the foreskin is one of the first signs. This is then followed by rashes and itching on the glands. 

Red erosions on the surface of the gland and itching are common. Appearances of skin ulcers are seen in certain individuals. 

In certain rare cases, burning sensation might be felt during urination. Foul smelling discharge is common too. Some people report burning, itching and pain on the foreskin. 

The head of the penis can be seen inflamed. Impotence is also a major symptom. Phimosis or inability to retract the foreskin is also common.
